Context and objectives of the mission

Carrefour is a French food retailing group, a pioneer in the sector for over 60 years. The Group employs over 300,000 people worldwide.

Historically divided into several legal entities (head offices, hypermarkets, etc.), the training and talent development programmes followed this division. Recently, the Group wanted to align these different programmes in order to offer a common training base for all entities. In particular, to create even more links between employees from these different entities.

With this objective in mind, Carrefour has launched several talent development programmes in 2020:

  • The "D Booster" programme for Directors - the one in this case study
  • The "Cadre Booster" programme for Headquarter Executives
  • The "Carrefour Elles" programme for female talent
  • The School of Leaders for shop employees.

The "D Booster" programme has three main objectives:

  • To enable participants to get to know themselves better: to identify their strengths and areas for improvement
  • Give them the keys to a better understanding of the environment in which they operate: sector, market trends, etc.
  • Better interact and collaborate with their teams thanks to this better knowledge of themselves
