What type of professional coaching should you choose to support your talents?

In an article published last January, Valérie Rocoplan, CEO of Talentis and Executive Coach, alerted all companies to the changes taking place in the field of professional coaching. Coaching, at the same time as the professional world, must evolve: to be more agile, more flexible, to meet the changing challenges of leaders and managers. Today, there is no longer a single form of professional coaching, but several coaching approaches. This is why we regularly innovate to adapt our coaching solutions. Our vision of coaching has always had a “business” resonance; coaching is at the service of professional performance. This is why Talentis coaches, with solid experience in business, have a good understanding of the business challenges of organizations, leaders and managers.
Transformational coaching or more punctual coaching to meet short-term challenges are all options for developing leaders of today and tomorrow.

1- MY COACHING: tailor-made professional coaching to support situations of change, personal and professional transitions.

This personalized support consists of work over the long term and in depth on subjects of high stakes for the person. For example: develop new leadership positions, transform your communication, succeed in your career transition...

These coachings allow the manager, talent or director to be supported in situations requiring profound changes or transformations. The objective for the person in these procedures is to Get to know your resources better, How it works, His talents, Its resistances, and work with the coach to become aware of what she Wants to change, of ways to do it And profits that she can find there.

The coach will use different approaches and tools (personality questionnaires, theoretical fields, image feedback) to help the person raise the level of self-awareness and develop new resources that they can mobilize in the future to unleash their full potential. To complete his coaching work, the coach can also involve an expert.

For example, in the case of a communication-related problem, we can involve actors or singers to work on speaking in meetings or in public if this is part of the coaching objectives. As in the case of a person who wants to better manage their energy, the coach will work with a yogist or call on experts from Mindfulness.

Other innovative approaches such as Horse Coaching are also possible. Since the horse is a mirror of human emotions, working alongside it allows individuals to have clear feedback on their leadership and assertiveness. Focus on executive coaching: In such support, the coach acts as a “sparring partner” for the manager.

The latter is often the only one to decide, so the coach acts at his side like a a challenger and a stimulus in his thinking.

In fact, it is for the sake of consistency and trust that, at Talentis, we have managers supported by coaches with a history of leadership Or a very good understanding of their challenges.

2- Flash Coaching: a type of professional coaching to deal with specific topics (in short sessions of 1 to 2 hours).

As time accelerates, find short-term solutions is becoming an increasingly important issue. It is with this in mind that we created “Flash Coaching” at Talentis.

It is a pragmatic coaching that consists of work on an identified problem, in a logic of short-term problem solving.

For example, it will be recommended when a manager or manager has had a conflict episode with a “business partner”, a peer or a member of his team. Or in the case of a meeting to be prepared.

In a session or two, the coachee will be able to be accompanied by a coach who will help him to properly qualify his request and his objective in order to find the solution (s) to move forward in resolving the subject. With the benevolent support of the coach, the manager will work on his communication, his management, his power of influence during structured sessions that allow him to develop winning postures and behaviors.

3- Focus coaching: working in several sessions on the same major theme.

It is an accompaniment in 5 sessions of 1.5 hours each, focused on a specific theme. This support concerns managers or managers who wish to work on an aspect related to their posture, their new position or the way they manage their energy. Let's take the following theme as an example:
“Succeed in a female career”. With the coach, the person will work on the following 5 topics as part of a structured and structuring approach :

  • Diagnosing boosters and blockers in her female career.
  • Define your ambition and aspirations
  • Optimize your visibility
  • Develop your impact and influence
  • Define the next steps of your professional project

4- Team coaching: optimizing the relationship between 2 people

Pair coaching is about improving a relationship between two people (between peers, between a manager and his assistant, between a manager and an employee, transversality, fusion). In this coaching approach, the coach works, during 3-person sessions, on all levels of the relationship : on what is happening, on the individual representation of each person, and on the ways to arrive at a different relationship. As a result of such coaching, we can observe:

  • The prevention of bottlenecks, misunderstandings, conflicts and associated costs.
  • Positive impacts and the influence of the work on other partners in the company.

5- Expatriation/Impatriation: 3-stage support, with 2 coaches (one in the country of origin, another in the host country) for a secure transition.

In our globalized context, being mobile has, in most large groups, become a prerequisite for evolving in one's position. It is to secure and optimize expatriations/impatriations that Talentis has set up this 3-step professional coaching offer which is aimed at managers or directors in the context of taking up a position abroad, or returning to France.

Initially, at the time of departure, the coachee is accompanied by a coach in the country he is leaving and is working on the following questions: “What do I pack? What will I bring to my new job? What will my new challenges be in my new business? What are my resources?... ”

The second step consists of Perform a transition session between the coachee and the two coaches upon departure. This session is done remotely, and the coachee shares the work done and his goals for the future. The third stage takes place when the coachee arrives in the new country. The second coach accompanies him in the context of “taking up a job” coaching. A strong intercultural dimension is integrated into the approach.

6- Building your professional project.

This support For people who are wondering about their career aspirations and wish to be supported in their reflections concerning their professional project in order to evolve in their company. In a context where the vast majority of large groups consider talent retention as one of the 3 priorities of 2018 (2018 Let's Talk HR Study: “The Employee Experience as seen by HR actors), offering this type of support is a way to encourage professional mobility within organizations, and thus effectively boost your employer brand.
