Managers: 5 ways to transform through collaborative management

In order to regain performance and give their company a new impetus, more and more managers are turning to a new way of working: collaborative management.

1. Valuing the knowledge and skills of each individual.

2. To hear the ideas of the community.

3. Organise it all to create a creative and productive dialogue.

4. Mix and match to go further.

Collaborative management is a carefully balanced cocktail. When properly balanced, it will enable a company to decompartmentalise its organisation and encourage interaction between its employees. Here's how to achieve this in five steps.

Have confidence in your employees

Do you have confidence in your employees? Show them that you believe in their skills. By making them adhere to your collaborative management concept, you will more easily draw them along with you. Listen to their ideas, support their company-related projects.

Be real

Do you want your employees to be as responsive and efficient as possible? Play the game of transparency regarding the organisation and results of your company. Be authentic yourself: by being real, you will strengthen your image and gain their trust.

Think cross-sectional

A company has as many skills as it has employees. But it is precisely these differences that make a company rich and strong. Rely on the complementarity and qualities of each person to achieve the company's objectives. Think of a transversal organisation by breaking the lines of the classic hierarchy to ensure the efficiency and interactivity of your employees.

Play it flexible

Since collaborative management relies on a larger or smaller group of people, don't hesitate to introduce a good dose of flexibility. Question some of the rules of operation but be flexible in your decisions: collaborative management requires a great deal of adaptability from everyone.

Cultivate feedback

It is essential to question oneself to ensure the sustainability of teamwork in a company. Whether it is a question of reviewing a process, a meeting or an appointment, it is important not to be deprived of feedback and comments on them. This culture of continuous learning and questioning - at all levels of the hierarchy - allows the company to move forward continuously.
